It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

I decorated this B for Christmas for your viewing pleasure (and really that of my little fam). It has been really hard too because I have recently started Game of Thrones and I'm super addicted. I mostly want to spend all of my down time worshiping at the alter of Jon Snow but that's another subject altogether.

When we bought this house, actually once we made it livable, which was at least eighteen months later, I realized that the Christmas decor I had accumulated in the years prior would look paltry in this monster. So I started collecting in earnest. Repeat after me: "After Christmas sales"  Every year I snatch up what I can from West Elm and the like. I got our stockings for like $9.99/ea they were originally $50! Seriously I am NOT dropping $250 on five Christmas stockings, ever. I also hit Goodwill year around and keep my eye out at thrift and antique stores. Sometimes ya gotta pay a little closer to retail. I'll admit I made a trip or two to Hobby Lobby in the last few days. That said I still don't have enough "stuff" to go all out. But I'm kind of a decor hoarder so I'm confident I will get there.

Reason 652 I'm not having more children, I bought glass balls for the tree for the first time in seven years. I bought 200 plastic balls from Sam's when Oliver was one and haven't gotten new 'til now. My baby is two and fully grasping the "hands off" policy. That's a relief. We are only about a week in though so you know "don't count your chickens" and all that.

Without further ado, this is Christmas:

I hope you enjoyed! Happy holidays everyone!!
