Watching the election results pour in and feeling pretty queasy. So much so that I need a distraction, any distraction!
So here's the update:
The Section House has gone from full tilt to snails pace. It's a, so close and yet so far away situation. I'm stretched thin with other projects and can't dedicate 20 plus hours to painting the damn textured walls. I'm hiring the rest out but my painter is booked for a week. I hope to shoot some pictures of the finished dining room tomorrow, if the apocalypse doesn't occur in the wee hours. Fingers crossed, on both.
The 'pied a terre' in Saint Louis is a happier tale. While it's still a week or more from being complete, due entirely to waiting on THE key piece of furniture, it looks absolutely stunning. We ran into a hiccup with the chandelier wiring but it will be repaired and door pulls installed on Thursday. I am optimistic that I will be able to style it early next week and I have already brought in lots of the bits and pieces.
The health and wellness of the Meininger family is in constant limbo. Jason was diagnosed with pneumonia last week, two of my babes can't seem to get well and I'm right there with them. F this bs. It's like endless summer outside in the midwest and we are struggling like it's the depths of winter, which can't bode well for our chances when it actually is. Despite the fact that I slept for approximately 17 hours on my friends bachelorette trip last weekend (i suck, I know) and thirty hours since, including some daytime hours (thanks for taking the kids mom) I might not be able to stay awake late enough to see my dreams of a female presidency crushed. Ugh. I feel like shit and these returns ain't helpin'.
