When I had my initial visit to the loft project I got a little nervous. There are some existing and major design elements that cannot be changed and are super challenging. This place might not end up looking like a million bucks but I can definitely increase the visual value, existing cabinets and counters aside.
I ordered some pretty copper lights for the project and so far I LOVE them. Mostly. The island lights and over sink pendant have come in, they are really good and the perfect size however the original sconces I chose were not so hot. Actually they were brass, that is not what the description said and seemed a little cheapy. UPS picked up the return today and the new ones are already en route. Hoping for the best on these. The sputnik, for the bedroom, I am most nervous as well as excited about! It is going to be sick, it's huge at 39'' across.
I'm hot on the search for reasonably priced copper bathroom fixtures at this time. What I have found is freaking expensive. The budget on this is pretty tight and there is a lot to cover. I'm gonna have to get creative, that's fun part though! I did manage to find a good and cost effective kitchen faucet. I've decided all the finishes will not be exact matches to each other, just all in the copper fam. It's just too hard. When I did my kitchen I mixed up the brass and I love the end result. Some is shiny, some unlacquered and my lights are some other gold entirely but I love it all. It totally jives but is imperfect which adds to the visual interest, I think.
Still waiting on the couch for the Saint Louis condo. It is taking forever! May not happen this week definitely next though, unfortunately that takes us into Thanksgiving, which I haven't even thought about until just this second. Shoot. Well hopefully next week it comes in, even if I can't make it to STL. Annnnd Thanksgiving. I cook like 90% of dinner. A task I choose to take on and have for many years. I haven't even ordered a turkey this year. Put it on the list.
